LOS ANGELES -- I appreciate your conscience and courage for reporting on the Armenian Genocide ("Curing the Chechen Madness," by Joe Shea, AR No. 1572).

The article's title does not reflect its true content, but your acknowledgement is dearly felt.

The time will come when our great nation will not look the other way and help heal the wounds of my ancestry. By denying the slaughter of 1.5 million innocent people, we are encouraging and fostering new genocides andkillings.

I am proud to be an American with Armenian heritage and will not rest till justice is served for all our people. No one should endure the pain and suffering Armenians, Jews, Cambodians, and other ethnic groups have endured throughout the centuries.

I hope you can dedicate an article to genocides, holocausts, and atrocities of all people.

I thank you once again for your response and article.

Sincerely,

Kevin Sarian
